AMEC is developing this page as a training and communication resource for our preceptors. 

The following resources are being developed to assist AMEC preceptors:

I.

Training in diverse topics to assist in preceptor development.  This training will be offered on-line to allow AMEC preceptors to complete training as their schedules permit.  Continuing medical education credits will be awarded for the completion of this training.

 

II.

An electronic forum which will allow AMEC preceptors to communicate with other professionals and preceptors.

 

Other Preceptor Training Resources:

MAHEC- Mountain Area Health Education Center's Preceptor Development Program:  This program includes several topics for assisting in preceptor development.  Courses registration is free.  There is a  $10 charge for receiving American Medical Association category 1 CME credit.  Courses are offered in five different formats including on-line e-learning.  The following topics are currently offered through e-learning:
